Jeffrey Hillard celebrates the return of baseball by sharing literature about America’s favorite pastime. Listen as he reads and analyzes the work of the late author and poet Dallas Wiebe. Wiebe, who died in 2008, was a professor at the University of Cincinnati and a well-known local writer. In the second half of the podcast, Hillard is joined by Charles Gabel, Senior Library Services Assistant at the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. Gabel, who also writes and studies poetry, shares some of his favorite selections from the Library’s collection, as we get ready to celebrate National Poetry Month in April.
